Our client is a social housing provider that provides social housing across Hertfordshire, currently they are recruiting for an experienced Housing Manager.

The role is a Permanent role on a full time basis.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Manage the delivery of a proactive housing management service, to the highest standards in line with residents needs and expectations and Core Values and Corporate Plan
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and compliance of relevant policies and procedures to meet housing legislation and best practice requirements and the needs of residents
  • Handle complex anti-social behaviour and tenancy management cases and complaints, ensuring swift and fair resolution while upholding customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all legal requirements relating to housing related tenures and compliance with tenancy agreements are met
  • Manage and supported a high-performing team of Housing Officers and Allocation and Tenancy Officers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring accountability at all levels
  • Regularly review and manage individual and team performance making appropriate interventions and taking action promptly where required; ensuring that a performance culture is developed and sustained within the team
  • Provide motivational leadership and support to the team, ensuring clarity of direction, effective communication and development of personal responsibility and potential, including appraisals and training plans
  • Prepare reports for a variety of stakeholders, including Leadership Team and Committee Members, as requested by the Head of Tenancy Services
  • Support the development and delivery of resident involvement initiatives to empower residents to influence and hold the service to account
  • To be responsible for management of external contracts and internal service level agreements
