Tenancy Sustainment Officer Vacancy

An established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit a Tenancy Sustainment Officer based in the Hertfordshire area on a temporary to permanent contract.

Location: Stevenage and East/North Herts

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Shifts: Shifts will be either 9-5pm or 1-9pm

Duration: Temporary to permanent (£29,848.00 Per Annum)

The role involves:

  • Working in a supported housing environment with homeless clients
  • As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents can sustain their accommodation and feel supported in their housing journey
  • Rent and Income Management: Providing advice and support to residents to ensure timely rent payments, managing arrears
  • Housing Benefits Guidance: Assisting residents with their housing benefit claims during their stay in temporary accommodation
  • Resident Support: Offering practical support to residents, addressing their individual needs, and signposting them to additional services when necessary

Additional requirements:

  • Experience of providing tenancy support to vulnerable people, particularly homeless client groups
  • An enhanced DBS check from within the last 3 years or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication skills and basic IT skills are essential
  • A driver with access to a car
