Primary Teacher (Y3-Y6) - Specialist SEN (Autism) RoleSmall SEN School in London ColneyTo start: Now or in April 2025

We are seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to join our small, specialised SEN school in London Colney, catering primarily for children with Autism. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive environment.

Assignments will begin on a temporary basis with a view to become permanent after the first term.

What We're Looking For:

  • A SEN specialist, although the post would also suit a strong Primary or EYFS Teacher, with experience in SEN and autism support
  • Strong classroom management skills and a good understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • A creative educator, passionate about delivering tailored and engaging lessons that ensure pupils make progress from their unique starting points
  • A collaborative and resilient professional who works well within a team
  • Previous teaching experience is essential for this role

Your Role:

  • Teach small groups of children in Years 3 to 6, tailoring lessons to meet the needs of pupils with Autism
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, where pupils feel respected, empowered, and supported
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants to ensure a collaborative approach to learning and care
  • Support the development and progression of pupils, providing a rich and meaningful educational experience
  • Bring innovation and vision to help shape the evolving landscape of specialist education

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a primary, EYFS, or SEN teaching role
