  • Be able to use a high level of empathy when discussing diagnosis and prognosis
  • Be able to adapt interaction style to facilitate communication where patients/carers may themselves have impaired communication or find the information difficult to accept
  • Have a high level of both written and communication skills
  • Have strong analytical skills to interpret complex and/or conflicting clinical information
  • Be able to consider the opinions and priorities of other people and organisations when planning interventions

What you will need:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Able to have a caring and empathetic approach to support patients and their families emotionally and psychologically.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
