Berry Flexibles EMEA is part of the Flexibles Division of Berry Global, operating across 17 sites worldwide. The Ardeer site is part of Packaging Solutions, employing c200 people and operating 24/7.The well invested site operates multiple processes, manufacturing printed and plain industrial film, sacks and bags, and is driving growth through technical innovation.


A rare and exciting opportunity has now arisen for an inspirational plant leader to take up the role of General Manager. Taking P&L responsibility for this fast-paced site, you will relish the opportunity to improve the performance of the business, harnessing the support of the workforce to deliver site strategy, whilst retaining a hands-on approach where required, improve profitability, and drive operational efficiencies through continuous improvement.


Your previous experience of mentoring, coaching and developing teams will be particularly valued in a position where you will take overall strategic responsibility for developing the companys potential.


Degree level, you will have an impressive track record in General Management, gained within a fast paced, performance oriented, business to business, manufacturing environment. Exceptional candidates with a strong Operations, Engineering or Technical background, with wider functional experience, seeking their first P&L role, may also be considered.


You will be able to demonstrate how your experience of driving and delivering business strategies, policies and objectives have delivered change and improved profitability, gaining the support, trust and commitment of employees, internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers. This will be combined with proven experience of change management and a balanced and objective approach to decision making.
