Your new firmAn established Accountancy firm in the Stockport area are seeking a client accountant to join their experienced team. This is a forward thinking and modern firm that utilises accountancy technology to deliver an excellent service to clients. They provide a range of accounting services to clients from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies. They aim to provide staff with a fully rounded accounts role, ensuring you have responsibility over your own client portfolio and provide excellent training and development opportunities for staff at all levels.

Your new roleAs Client Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounts preparation for a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with turnovers up to £3 million. You will act as a client manager and will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients. You will work alongside the rest of the accounts team and will be involved with training and managing junior staff and you will be required to effectively manage your own time. You will have some responsibility for bookkeeping and VAT returns for clients.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience handling accounts for a wide range of clients in a practice environment. You will also need strong IT and technical skills with experience in accounts software, specifically Xero. You will need to be able to manage client relationships and support them on a wide range of accountancy queries. This candidate will need to be AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE). Having strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively, will make you a strong candidate for this role.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive salary between £30,000 and £36,000 dependent on experience.
