We are now looking to expand our team with a motivated and skilled Qualified Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, corporations, and individuals, ensuring all accounting and tax requirements are met.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.

  • Tax Compliance: Manage and prepare VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns, ensuring timely submission and adherence to tax regulations.

  • Audit Support: Assist with audit preparation, liaise with auditors, and ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Bookkeeping: Oversee and manage bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate records and preparing monthly management accounts.

  • Advisory Services: Provide clients with advice on financial and business matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all accounting matters.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and contribute to team development and training.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in an accounting practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage), Excel, and other MS Office applications.

  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax compliance.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial clients.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Client-Focused: A proactive approach to client service, with a focus on delivering value and building long-term relationships.
