Senior Management Accountant

Based: Stockport

Salary: up to £55k + bonus + benefits + opportunities for progression

Our client is a rapidly expanding, highly acquisitive, PE backed business. On an ambitious growth journey, the business has grown massively over the last couple of years and will continue to do so with annual growth of circa 20%+ through organic and acquisition. We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join the team, reporting into a newly promoted Financial Controller who is a fantastic mentor and can aid your progression

Role:

  • Oversee end to end management accounts for core business entity including integrating new acquisitions
  • Preparing management accounts including journal postings & group reporting pack
  • Providing insightful analysis and commentary of performance and variances to expectations from budgets and forecasts
  • Provide group reporting for operational and commercial review, utilizing all sustems
  • Month end balance sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity of financial data
  • Documenting and improving financial controls, adhering to group financial reporting policies
  • Providing information and explanations for annual external audit for group companies ensuring deadlines met
  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns and working with internal tax team to ensure accurate tax reporting
  • Assisting Treasury with cash flow forecasting, working with wider teams to maximise efficiencies
  • Evaluation of reporting activities, ensuring streamline across the group & supporting ad-hoc projects

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified from practice OR a strong CIMA/ACCA qualified Accountant from industry seeing full end to end accounts process (ideally SME background)
  • Proven ability to deliver under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator and good on various systems
  • Strong Excel skills
