Role: Tax Director Location: South Manchester, Hybrid working Package: £80k-£100k package + bonus + benefits An exciting Tax Director opportunity with a well known and established accountancy firm in South Manchester. Your new firm: A leading professional services firm with several offices across the UK are looking to bring in an experienced Tax Director to support with tax growth across South Manchester. With a strong client base of OMBs and business owners this firm provide a range of general practice services to clients across the North West.

Your new role: You'll be working closely with the senior management team, responsible for leading and managing the tax department, managing both corporate and personal tax professionals. You'll be leading on technical queries for the firm getting involved with a variety of tax queries including mergers, demergers, acquisitions, tax planning, succession planning and share schemes to name a few.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the tax planning, compliance, and reporting processes.
  • Develop and implement innovative tax strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic tax advice to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop the tax team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities as needed.
  • Stay ahead of the curve with changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.

What I'm looking for:

  • ACA / ACCA / ATT / CTA qualified tax professional with a proven experience running and managing a tax department.
  • Experienced with preparing and reviewing technical advisory reports for clients
  • Owner Managed Business portfolio experience
  • Mixed tax background having experience supporting clients with both corporate tax and personal tax queries.
