Your new companyA leading supplier and distributor in the scientific community, this manufacturing company is based in Bredbury. They are recruiting for a Customer Service Manager to manage the team, increasing sales and promoting "world-class service" to customers.Your new roleYou will be responsible for the customer service agents, ensuring the company is operating to high levels of service throughout the customer's journey.

  • Enforcing customer service processes, regularly reviewing to ensure they remain relevant and fit for purpose
  • Creating a culture of continuous improvement
  • Establish and communicate service metrics, analysing results to ensure these are being maintained and improved
  • Design and evaluate customer service processes
  • Management of your team; work allocation, performance management, recruitment, coaching, development plans, appraisals, setting objectives
  • Advising the Head of Sales of department forecasting to ensure resources are in place to meet objectives and to assist with annual budget preparations
  • Work within the customer services team on day-to-day customer queries, quotes, orders and problem-solving
  • Participating in educational opportunities, collaborating with internal teams, driving the business's values and strategic plans forward and contributing to positive changes in the business

What you'll need to succeed

  • Successful applicants will have a minimum of 2 years customer service management experience.
  • Experience of MS 365 suite and SAP Business One
  • Experience in the scientific industry would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience of decision-making and ability to work under own initiative
  • Experience of delegating tasks and prioritising to meet company objectives and team targets
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and support team members to maximise team productivity
  • Results driven, with experience of setting targets with commercial awareness
  • Work well under pressure and have an ability to make instant decisions.
  • Confident to drive changes forward and empower others when faced with challenges.
