A growing Installations and maintenance business based close to Stockport are keen to hire an estimator to join their dynamic and rapidly expanding team! The role requires you to estimate work for projects by reviewing clients requirements, drawings, specifications, and related documents and submitting an accurate error free detailed estimate. The company offer excellent training and enhanced holidays and are keen to hire people who are keen to work well from initiative and are customer service focused.What will you be doing as an Estimator?
- Preparing quotations from drawings and specifications based on client instructions
- Accurately measuring and drawing up plans which are well presented
- Producing costings
- Completing quotations and submitting accordingly
- Working on multiple tenders and quotations at a given time
- Liaising with clients and ensuring their requirements are adhered to
- Reviewing sub-contractors and suppliers quotations
- Dealing with enquiries and written correspondence relating to estimates
- Answering queries against estimates submitted
- Negotiating final submissions with the client to convert the estimate into an order
- We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in estimating or quantity surveying within the construction industry would be ideal
- Graduates could be considered for this role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well as part of a team
- High attention to detail and strong organisational and prioritising skills
- Ability to work well from initiative and make decisions and consult as appropriate
- UK Driving license is essential to attend sites and commute to and from office
What will you get in return for your work as an Estimator?
- Salary up to GBP35k, dependent upon experience
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday
