Vertical Recruitment is working closley with an award winning civil, rail, transportation, and structural engineering consultancy.One of the largest independently owned consultancies in the UK with a network of offices across major cities.
They have an immediate need for a Highway Technician to work on a contract basedin the Head office in South Manchester.
Duties will involve:
Providing technical expertise and support in the planning and design of local highways schemes.
This role involves overseeing junior technicians, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and contributing to the successful delivery of highways projects.
You will assist in the preparation of detailed highway design drawings using CAD software and contribute to the development of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Applicants should be:
Minimum HNC qualified in civil engineering
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
Proficient in AutoCAD software. (Civil 3d/AutoTrack or Keysign are desirable but not essential)
Experienced in highway or transportation design (5 years +)
Knowledgeable in civil engineering principles and practices related to highway designon the local road network.
