We are seeking an experienced and self-sufficient Residential Property Fee Earner (Conveyancer) to manage the full process of residential property transactions from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing client matters unsupervised while contributing to the growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all aspects of residential property conveyancing for client files accurately and in accordance with the firm's quality and compliance procedures (Lexcel and SRA Code of Conduct).
  • Generate fee income and manage time recording, billing, work in progress, and cash collection to meet agreed targets.
  • Support and supervise colleagues on fee-earning work as required (e.g., covering absences).
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities for the team and firm.
  • Attend and liaise with clients in person or over the phone, providing professional and friendly client care.
  • Prepare correspondence and documents using the case management system.
  • Manage both paper and digital filing systems in line with the firm's procedures.
  • Contribute to group meetings and business development efforts to generate new work.
  • Promote the firm and nurture relationships with referrers, contacts, and potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain IT, case management, and telephone skills appropriate for a modern legal practise.
Skills and Attitude:

Aligned with the firm's mission and core values, with a commitment to demonstrating and developing these principles.

A team player, both within the group and across the firm.

Well-organised and efficient, with strong time management skills.

Excellent communicator, whether via phone, in person, or in writing.

Experience and Education:

A minimum of 4 years' experience as a fee-earning Conveyancer or Paralegal.

Relevant qualifications and experience in residential conveyancing.
