Lead Data Analyst

Wilmslow / hybrid

An opportunity to devise and develop a data function. This role is key to supporting the businesses aspiration to increase, enrich, maintain and interpret their data assets. This is a formative role in a nascent function in a young & small business and as such will suit candidates eager to build their own credentials in an unstructured but high-value-add environment. Likely tasks & responsibilities will include:

  • Develop the companies’ approach to data interpretation & presentation (how is data presented, what inferences can be drawn, what insights can be drawn, who can benefit).
  • Devise the company approach to data entry (manual, automated, outsourced etc).
  • Developing the company approach to data acquisition (increasing the sources, complimentary & contextual nature).
  • Assist the business to devise publishable content drawn from the insights generated from the data asset.
  • Assist the developer of the data asset to regularly design further iterations of the build which will enhance functionality, insights & content as well as provide resilience in the instances legacy data sources change/cease.
  • Supporting data tasks as required by the wider technical team.

The candidate.

  • A degree in a relevant subject, with a minimum 2:1 and (or) relevant technical work experience.
  • Essential - high work ethic and pride in work and timing.
  • Experience in any of - SQL, Python, R, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong inter-personal skills to facilitate stakeholder management.
  • The role is open to both experienced Data Analysts and Managers with demonstrable experience building for and solving similarly related requirements. The role is also open to those looking to build fractional/portfolio careers across a suite of employers.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Fully funded further qualifications and training (in work hours).
