Hays are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias to work on a static site for a leading defence contractor, conducting work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service that covers multiple disciplines and provides a reactive and proactive maintenance service, as per project requirements, to all operational equipment.Key Information:

  • Full-time, permanent position, operating a 40-hour working week.

Requirements:You will be required to provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance to support our client and will be part of an FM team who deliver a dedicated service to the client, based in Cheadle. You will predominantly be working with an electrical bias, but you will also be required to support in other areas as and when required by your line manager. As a multi-skilled engineer, you will be responsible for achieving high levels of service in line with contractual SLAs, ensuring all works are cost-effective, technically competent, and safe. Alongside this, you'll facilitate enhanced stakeholder relationships while delivering a consistent approach across the North portfolio. In your day-to-day you will be carrying out a range of reactive and PPM maintenance work, so it is essential you have demonstrable experience in this. To be considered for the role, you must hold the following:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical testing and inspection.
  • Strong understanding of building statutory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of reactive and planned maintenance works.
