We are recruiting for a Wireperson/Electrician. Firstly, and importantly, you'll be joining a welcoming and supportive team of experienced engineers who are passionate about supporting each other and our customers. The core business works on an exciting range of HV projects renewable energy ICP and EPC projects, transmission & distribution commissioning projects and large-scale railway electrification projects. We are rapidly expanding our team so it's a great time to join the business.

Electrician / Wireperson Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

  • Installations and Repairs: Carry out installations, maintenance, and repairs of high voltage electrical systems, including power distribution networks, signalling and SCADA systems, and related equipment in rail and renewable energy projects.
  • Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, electrical codes, and industry regulations while executing all tasks, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify electrical faults and conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to troubleshoot problems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Testing and Inspection: Perform testing and inspection procedures on high voltage equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, inspections, and other electrical activities, including daily work logs, equipment maintenance reports, and project documentation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution, providing input and expertise as needed.
  • Compliance with Specifications: Interpret project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure accurate and compliant installation of high voltage electrical systems.
  • Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and promote a safety-conscious culture among team members, complying with Health and Safety at Work Act regulations.
  • Equipment and Tools: Properly handle, operate, and maintain a wide range of specialized electrical tools, equipment, and instruments necessary for the job.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to high voltage electrical systems, attending training sessions and acquiring new certifications as required.
