Are you ready to excel in a KS2 setting? Tradewind are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to work in KS2 part-time on a job share basis.

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to appoint an experienced Primary teacher for a job share opportunity in Heald Green, Stockport. This is part -time class teacher post which will commence January 2024 and will run until the end of the academic year at least with a possibility of an extension. This position comes with a competitive salary which will reflect your experience and are able to consider ECT's as well as more experienced teachers for the role.

The school is a vibrant, happy and welcoming school which was graded 'Good' in its most recent OFSTED inspection. It is regarded as a highly reputable school that is well known in the area and is well staffed with excellent facilities. The school has an experience, highly skilled and innovative team who work together to plan engaging and stimulating learning opportunities that are accessible for all but challenge learners to maximise academic potential. The curriculum is built around 'Knowledge, exploration and communication' and cross curriculum links are encouraged as it learning in the outdoors.

About the Role

This is a part-time role based in KS2 and involves whole class teaching responsibilities in this job share role. There will be an element of planning, but through effective communication with the other teacher, teamwork can ensure that a great work life balance can be achieved.

As a teacher joining the KS2 department, your responsibilities will include:

  • Attain the highest standards of teaching and learning in KS2
  • Plan lessons which are stimulating, accessible for all and support learning in real life scenarios
  • Communicate effectively with the job share partner to create smooth and seamless transitions from lesson to lesson ensuring curriculum pacing is met and misconceoptions are addressed
  • Keep up to date records of assessment based on verbal and written feedback and use online data collection tools to monitor pupil progress
  • Work well independently as well as part of the KS2 team and be open to new ideas as well as sharing knowledge of you own expertise area
  • Use modern technology to enhance learning opportunities
  • Contribute to the afterschool clubs including athletics, mindfulness colouring, lego club and more!

As part of the KS2 team, you will have full access to a range of CPD opportunities and be fully supported in your role. The school is driven by an experienced Head, strong SLT and would be a great environment to support you in the next stage of your career.

Essential requirements:

  • QTS Certification.
  • Direct experience teaching in KS2
  • Excellent references to support prior experience in the primary setting
  • Provide a CV with 10 years employment history and explanations of any CV gaps
  • Be subject to an enhanced DBS check and Overseas Police Check (if applicable).
  • Have a right to work in the UK
