Assembly Operative - Stockport

Are you ready to join a growing and dynamic team? A Stockport-based manufacturing and installation company are seeking an Assembly Operative to become an integral part of their successful journey.

Our client is a thriving company with a semi - skilled team that manufactures a range of specialist equipment and installs it across the UK. Based in a large, well-equipped workshop in Stockport, they are providing an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop new skills, both in manufacturing and on-site installations.

What We Offer

- Pay: £11.90/hour (£12.80/hour when fitting on-site)

- Standard Hours:

o Mon-Thu: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

o Fri: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm

Responsibilities

- Assemble specialist equipment within the workshop.

- Install equipment on sites across the UK after the probationary period.

- Carry out routine maintenance during site visits.

- Log jobs and maintain accurate manufacturing records.

- Participate in benchwork, measuring, cutting, and quality control.

What You'll Need

- Essential:

o Experience in a workshop environment.

o Proficiency with tools like drills and other general equipment.

o Physical fitness for manual labour tasks.

o A good level of education (GCSE Maths & English).

- Preferred:

o Full UK driving license.

o CSCS card or safety site passport.

o Flexibility to work away from home.
