We are currently seeking a Corporate Solicitor with 1–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking fee-earning work and contributing to the profitability and development of the firm in alignment with our business plans.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Conduct client matters with accuracy and reliability, adhering to the firm’s quality and risk management procedures.
- Generate fee income and maintain control over time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in line with targets.
- Actively participate in business development opportunities for the team and firm.
- Provide supervision and support for colleagues’ fee-earning work, especially during absences.
- Support and develop the Paralegal as part of the Corporate team or assist other fee-earning colleagues as required.
- Engage in marketing activities and uphold the firm’s standards for client care.
- Manage correspondence and documents through the case management system.
- Handle the management of client files, including opening, closing, storage, and retrieval, in accordance with office procedures.
- Attend and participate in group meetings and develop new work from existing clients while seeking new clients.
- Maintain a network of contacts and referrers and promote the firm professionally and personally.
- Utilize IT and telephone skills appropriate for modern legal practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1–4 years PQE in corporate law.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficient in case management systems and standard office applications.
- Committed to the firm’s mission statement and core values, and able to work collaboratively within the team.
- Efficient, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
