Vacancy: Freelance Site Manager

Unite People are working with an established constructioncontractor to hire a Freelance Site Manager, to an extensive education refurbishment near Stockport.

The role would suit either a number two Manager looking to take a step-up and managetheir own site, or an experienced manager looking to finish a project to a high standard.

The successful individual will be self-motivated and have experience of successfully delivering refurbishment projects of education or public sector buildings with a focus onFire doors, flooring, M&E, fixings.You will be responsible for the management of internal trades staff and sub-contractors,ensuring that the scheme is are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction activity on site
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Manages the relationship with the sub-contractors onsite
  • Drive the project Programme
  • Drives the pace of the project, planning work ahead
  • Ensure there is an efficientmonitoringand registration process in place for site staff
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout all phases of construction.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitors and control costs, budgets and commercial expectationsonsite.

Required Qualifications & Training

  • CSCSCard
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Preferably experienceof school, college or university builds or refurbishments.
  • Strong People Management experience
  • Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and challenging stakeholders and/or sub-contractors
  • Strong people skills
