Trade Counter Operations Manager
Salary:Circa 50,000,Full time, Monday -Thursday 8am -5pm & Friday 8am -3pm
Reporting to:Group Finance Director
Job Overview:
As the Trade Counter Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring exceptional customer service, and overseeing the efficient operation of the Trade Counter.
You will lead a dynamic team, optimise product placement, and work closely with internal departments to enhance customer engagement and maximise turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Commercial Team in driving trade counter performance, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Optimise product placement and trade counter layout to maximise sales.
- Enhance customer engagement and encourage repeat business
- Lead by example in delivering a high-quality, personalised customer experience.
- Ensure a strong focus on upselling and cross-selling.
- Foster long-term relationships with clients to build brand loyalty.
- Supervise and motivate the trade counter team, ensuring a customer-centric approach.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance team effectiveness.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the efficient processing of customer orders and resolve queries in collaboration with the wider team.
- Work with the Finance team to ensure accurate invoicing and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes to maintain operational excellence.
- Regularly review key performance metrics, including sales, foot traffic, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
- Use data insights to drive improvements and refine trade counter strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to design visually appealing displays that enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain a showroom and trade counter that aligns withbrand image.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in operational management, ideally in the KBB (Kitchen, Bedroom, Bathroom) or high-end retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to increase sales and profitability.
- A keen eye for luxury aesthetics and interior trends.
