Production Planning Supervisor
- Annual Salary: £28,000-34,000
- Location: Stockport, Manchester
- Job Type: 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday
Join a well-established manufacturing company as a Production Planning Supervisor. This role is based in Stockport and offers a dynamic work environment where you will lead a team of experienced professionals in their processing areas.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will ensure that production schedules and daily activities run efficiently while maintaining a hands-on approach to daily operations with a progression place in plan from day 1 to work towards Production Manager.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage a team within the processing areas, ensuring efficient operation and meeting production targets.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to optimise production processes and enhance team performance.
- Direct and support your team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Monitor inventory levels and adapt production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Assist with label printing, chip programming, and monthly stock takes.
- Utilise MRP software for production planning and scheduling, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively and lead a team.
- A flexible, hands-on, and results-oriented approach.
- Minimum of 2 years' proven supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience in production planning or scheduling, with proficiency in using MRP software.
- High level of administration and IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making capability.
- A customer-centric outlook that prioritises delivering excellent customer service.
