Our client designs, develops and manufactures bespoke equipment for aerospace and military applications, dealing with some of the biggest blue-chip companies globally.

Most design opportunities in the market offer just detailed design work, this is an opportunity where you will be given responsibility, dealing directly with global aerospace and defence companies directly, coming up with concepts and project timescales, doing the detailed design, product development and analysis, and working closely with the shop floor to get the project delivered.

If you are currently working in a design engineering role and you're looking for that next step / challenge that will really give you the chance to expand your experience and knowledge into project management and product development, this is worth serious consideration. Future progression opportunities and support with further education are very much a real thing.Experience/Skills;

  • Masters or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Dealing directly with customers developing concepts - more focused on the sharp part of the project
  • Use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD to produce 3D and 2D drawings of engineered products
  • Understand and convert concept drawings from customers into drawings for manufacture
  • Perform engineering calculations to understand mechanical parameters of engineered parts
  • Ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry standards
  • Organise and maintain existing engineering records
