Paediatric Occupational Therapist- Band 6 and Band 7

Location: Stockport

Working Hours : 37.5hours

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work with children and adolescents to help them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and functioning in various settings. This role involves working closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to assess each child's individual needs and to design and implement therapy plans that promote the highest possible level of independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical, emotional, sensory, and cognitive abilities to understand each child’s unique needs.
    • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, and educators to gather and analyze information relevant to the child’s developmental history and current functioning.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation:

    • Develop personalized intervention plans that address developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine and gross motor skills, and other functional limitations.
    • Provide direct therapy services to children in clinic, school, home, or community settings, depending on the scope of service delivery.
    • Implement interventions through a variety of techniques, including play-based therapy, sensory integration, adaptive equipment training, and motor skill development exercises.
