SEND Tutor; Post 16 educationGreater Manchester£30 per hourImmediate startFull timeReed Further Education are working with a specialist College to recruit some SEND Tutors to join their team ASAP.The pathway program focuses on creating a supportive environment for students with special educational needs and disabilities. The program spans from Level 1 to Entry Level 2 qualifications, ensuring that students are well-prepared for mainstream college education.

Alongside core subjects like mathematics and English, learners also develop independent study skills and employability skills. These essential abilities empower them to progress to higher levels of study or employment. Through customized trips, visits, and residential experiences, young individuals have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Requirements;

  • Teaching qualification, such as PGCE or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Tutor, preferably within Foundation Learning Extensive experience of working with young people, in education, and individuals with SEND/Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of the specific issues relating to the education of people who have learning difficulties/disabilities, sensory, physical impairments or other specific learning difficulties.
  • DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.

Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by undergoing a 2 year’ employment check and a DBS Application, completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
