Our client is seeking an Interim People Services Director to design, implement and oversee an effective global People Operations hub. This role will centralise administrative tasks across the global team, enhancing employee experiences through automation, analytics, AI and digitisation capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering intuitive people administration processes, providing first line HR support and ensuring that HR policies are in line with best practice. What you'll do:
As an Interim People Services Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's global operations. You will be tasked with designing and implementing an efficient People Operations hub that centralises administrative tasks across various teams. Your role will involve leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI and digitisation to enhance employee experiences. You will also be responsible for delivering seamless people administration processes while providing first-line HR support. Your ability to ensure that HR policies align with best practices will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, your data-driven approach will enable you to identify opportunities for improvement within the organisation.
- Design, implement and oversee an effective global People Operations hub
- Deliver intuitive people administration processes to provide a great service to our global employee base
- Provide generalist and first line HR support and guidance to the business through the People Operations team
- Ensure that HR policies are in line with best practice, give expression to our values, and comply with employment law
- Take a data-driven approach to identifying and leveraging AI, digitisation and line manager self-service opportunities
- Responsible for the performance and delivery of the high-volume Talent Acquisition team including direct line management of the Talent Acquisition Manager
- Oversee the People Analytics and Systems team, including data gathering and warehousing, and mining data for actionable insights
- Developing, leading and implementing a HR systems road map to ensure our cores systems support the delivery of the People strategy
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Interim People Services Director role will bring a wealth of experience in people or operational departments, with a proven track record of leading at a senior level. You will have hands-on experience in developing and delivering HR systems, rolling out automation and line manager/employee self-service. Your ability to exercise good judgement and pragmatism when faced with complex situations will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, your excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders will enable you to drive change within the organisation. A proactive approach, strong data analytical skills and attention to detail are also key requirements for this role.
- Significant work experience in a people or operational department or with significant experience of leading at a senior level
- Experience of developing and delivering HR systems/rolling out automation and line manager/employee self-service
- Ability to exercise good judgement and pragmatism when faced with complex situations
- Experience in delivering people project initiatives with multiple priorities to tight timescales
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proactive and stakeholder focused approach
- Experience in influencing managers at all levels up to Group Exco level
- Strong data analytical skills with attention to detail
