Year 3 Teacher opportunity within a wonderful 'family feel' school based in Hazel Grove!

Tradewind are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 3 teacher to work in a wonderful, 'family feel' school based in Hazel Grove. This position is full-time from January and pays MPS 1-6 based on the stage of your career. The school are willing to consider both ECT's and experienced teachers and for the right candidate, this position could also lead to a permanent contract based on your performance and ability to make a strong impact at the school.

About the School

This exciting Year 3 role offers the chance to teach in a lovely single-form entry school which is well facilitated with supportive and friendly staff. Curriculum

The school follows the Oxford Reading Tree scheme to support reading for please and expanding pupil vocabulary. This is taught alongside Essential Letters and Sounds phonics which aims to 'get all children to read well, quickly.' In Maths, the NCETM and White Rose schemes are followed to break down areas of the curriculum and support fluency, reasoning and problem solving. Cross-curricular opportunities are also encouraged as well as creativity in the classroom to captivate young minds

Year 3 Teacher responsibilities:

  • To deliver high quality learning across the Primary curriculum that engages the children
  • Scaffold and stretch learning making it accessible for all and identifying the need for intervention
  • Communicate well and establish excellent relationships with other classroom staff and across the school community
  • Commitment to teamwork with a proactive approach to supporting all children achieving their potential
  • Utilise effective behaviour management skills
  • Well organised, efficient and professional in all duties and aspects of the teaching role
  • Aspirational, reflective and empathetic practitioner
  • Receptive to new ideas and approaches, adapting and contributing to the ever-changing school environment

Qualification/experience:

  • Relevant teaching qualification with QTS (or an equivalent overseas qualification)
  • Strong curriculum knowledge
  • Excellent references to support your primary teaching experience
  • Up to date safeguarding knowledge with KCSIE completed
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
