Westwood Recruitmentare on the lookout for aProject Managerto join our client on a permanent basis in Bredbury with an immediate start available. This role is also open to someone who is a Project Co-Ordinator withEngineeringexperience looking to make a step up.

AsProject Manageryou will be reporting into the Senior Project Manager. You will liaise with the Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Sales departments to help ensure that quality criteria has been assessed and to help implement an effective project launch and product delivery. This role is office based only.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Quality Standards are to BS EN ISO 9001 and are maintained
  • Health & Safety regulations are observed and maintained
  • Implementing effective project launches whilst also liaising with the Sales, Quality and Manufacturing departments to ensure delivery and quality implications have been all assessed
  • Produce clear project plans and schedules
  • To assist with implementing total quality and process improvement within the company
  • To identify any risk to schedules and to develop recovery/mitigation plans
  • Ensure that correct reporting of additional costs to projects are reported and agreed where appropriate
  • Attending pre-production meetings internally as well as externally with customers
  • Produce management reports as required for management meetings
  • Work with key suppliers and procurement departments to ensure that delivery schedules are achieved
  • To liaise and inform departments of any changes in delivery requirements
  • To maintain accurate reporting against multiple projects via the customer interface/portal
  • Help deliver projects on time meeting customer requirements

Job Requirements

  • Experience with projects within Engineering or Manufacturing is essential
  • Be competent in Microsoft Work packages and IT Systems such as MS Project
  • Have sound knowledge of all Group Quality Procedures
  • Have an understanding of Quality plans & specifications
  • Product Delivery experience in Projects
  • Having a relevant engineering degree is preferred
