Job Specification: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Stockport

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor who can ideally also undertake estimating duties to join our team in Stockport. This role involves working on new build and fit-out projects with a diverse range of clients. An immediate start is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying:
Manage costings and contracts for new build and fit-out projects.
Prepare and analyze project budgets and forecasts.
Perform risk management and cost control.
Conduct site visits and valuations.
Handle final account settlements.
Estimating:
Undertake estimating duties as needed, preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents.
Work closely with the pre-construction team to ensure accurate pricing.
Client Interaction:
Work with both existing and new clients to understand their needs and deliver successful projects.
Maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business.

Key Clients:
NHS
Retail/Food Retail clients (mostly drive-throughs)
Automotive/Car Show Room and Dealership clients

Project Details:
Projects range in value, with drive-through projects typically around 1 million.
Sites are primarily located in the North West.

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in both quantity surveying and estimating.
Proven track record in new build and fit-out projects.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with construction software and Excel.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary up to 60,000 DOE
