Job Specification: Quantity SurveyorLocation: Stockport, United KingdomSalary: £45,000 to £60,000 per annum DOEReports To: Commercial DirectorOverviewWe are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team at a leading joinery subcontractor in Stockport. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the financial efficiency of live projects, working collaboratively with various departments to improve commercial reporting, manage cash flow, and oversee contract administration.Key ResponsibilitiesProject DeliveryWork on live projects, providing expertise to improve commercial reporting and cash flow management.Oversee the full project delivery cycle, from initial bid through to the final account.Ensure accurate contract administration, maintaining compliance with contractual obligations.Collaboration and LiaisonLiaise with the Estimating and Design teams to ensure seamless integration of project requirements.Collaborate closely with Production and Maintenance teams to optimize operations and drive financial efficiency.Procurement and TenderingAssist in the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.Support work-winning activities, contributing to the preparation and submission of competitive bids.Commercial ManagementMonitor and manage project costs, identifying areas for savings and efficiency improvements.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including valuations, cost forecasts, and final accounts.Work to maintain healthy cash flow across all projects.RequirementsProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the joinery or construction subcontracting sectors.Strong understanding of commercial reporting, cash flow management, and contract administration.Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.Familiarity with procurement and tendering processes.Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems.What We OfferCompetitive salary up to £60,000 per annum DOE.Opportunity to work on high-profile joinery projects within a supportive and innovative environment.Career development opportunities in a growing organization.Collaborative team culture focused on excellence and innovation.Hybrid working.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
