KPJ Group is currently recruiting for a Welding Technician to join a leading engineering company based in Stockport.

What will you be doing as a Welding Technician?

  • Supporting the Welding Co-ordinator with daily welding activities
  • Conducting internal welder audits and helping address welding-related non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  • Assisting in developing welding procedure specifications (WPS) for new and legacy products
  • Monitoring welding processes to ensure compliance with standards
  • Providing guidance and support to welders, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained
  • Collaborating with the production engineering team on welding changes
  • Supporting ISO 3834 management systems and welding qualification testing

What do you need?

  • CSWIP 3.0 qualified or willing to progress to this level
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of welding processes such as MIG, MAG, TIG, and mechanised welding systems
  • Experience with ISO 3834 standards and technical drawings
