KO2's client, a leader in 4K camera systems for the aerospace market, is seeking a skilled Technical Author to join their team in Stockport. This exciting role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technology while contributing to the documentation processes that support design, manufacturing, qualification, and environmental approvals for advanced aerospace systems.

About the Role

As a Technical Author, you will be responsible for producing technical documents for both internal teams and external customers, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with customer requirements. You'll support projects across the entire product lifecycle, working on avionics such as cameras, monitors, and servers.

This broad role involves:

  • Developing and reviewing documents like product specifications, FMEA reports, reliability studies, and qualification test procedures.
  • Supporting product qualification and validation, including environmental testing.
  • Providing technical assistance for customer installations and RFP/RFI applications.
  • Collaborating with the team on cable design, product testing, and technical customer support.

What We're Looking For

The ideal Technical Author will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or defence industries.
  • A solid understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, or environmental testing.
  • The ability to distil complex customer requirements into clear, actionable documentation.
  • Strong time management skills for monitoring and reporting progress.

Desirable Skills and Interests:

  • Knowledge of camera technology or avionics.
  • Enthusiasm for aerospace and aircraft systems.

Nice-to-Have Opportunities:
