A well-established and growing business based in Stockton-on-Tees is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a friendly, fast-paced environment, ideally suited to someone with experience in a family-run or owner-managed business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date company accounts using Sage Line 50
- Prepare monthly accounts up to trial balance
- Assist with year-end preparation
- Process payroll on Sage, including RTI submissions & P45 generation
- Manage payroll year-end and submit relevant reports
- Handle payment runs and manage the purchase ledger
- Oversee credit control and audit the sales ledger
- Perform daily cashbook reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Manage cash flow & forecasting
- Provide support for monthly financial reporting
Requirements:
- Strong Excel skills and Sage Line 50 knowledge
- Proven experience in a similar finance/accounting role
- A proactive and adaptable mindset

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (42.5 hours per week, 30-minute lunch break)
Location: Stockton-on-Tees (Hybrid options available)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (negotiable based on experience)
