Reed Finance is currently working with a local SME that prides itself on having a real family feel. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their team.

As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will be involved in:

  • Ensuring company accounts are accurately maintained and up-to-date using Sage 50.
  • Preparing monthly financial statements up to the trial balance stage.
  • Conducting year-end financial preparations and reporting.
  • Processing payroll through Sage, including RTI submissions and P45 generation.
  • Managing year-end payroll processes and reporting requirements.
  • Executing payment runs in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing the management of the purchase ledger and sales ledger.
  • Regularly balancing the cash book.
  • Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Managing cashflow, including forecasting and monitoring.
  • Compiling and present monthly financial reports.

Desired skills & experience

  • Proven experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
