The Opportunity:Our client, a leading and award-winning global manufacturing business based in Teesside, is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team.  The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in the Senior Leadership Team, reporting in to the Finance Director and with responsibility for a team of 6.  A person with strong leadership and communication skills and a manufacturing background will do well in this role. Main duties/responsibilities:
  • Lead the finance team to provide accurate and timely information, enhancing value and supporting strategic decisions.
  • Ensure timely completion of local and group reports, converting to IFRS when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Parent Company management and finance teams.
  • Perform monthly reviews of P&L, balance sheets, and ledgers to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Oversee the annual financial audit process, including the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Develop annual budgets.
  • Supervise all internal audit controls and compliance.
  • Uphold financial policies and departmental procedures.
  • Act as a deputy for the Finance Director when needed.
You will be/have:
  • Fully Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE with manufacturing industry experience
  • Highly effective communicator
  • Understanding of Standard costing calculations and methodology
  • Previous demonstrable experience in a similar Management role
  • Highly experienced with MS Office
  • Experience with BI tools
  • Knowledge of SOX
