My client, based in Stockton-on-Tees, is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to join their team and manage a portfolio of customer accounts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accurately process customer orders and maintain records
  • Build and maintain operational relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing sustainable solutions
  • Maintain effective communication across internal teams to meet customer requirements
  • Inform customers of any additional charges and provide order updates and relevant documentation
  • Coordinate necessary documentation for import, export, and transit movements
  • Drive continuous improvement and streamline internal processes for enhanced customer satisfaction
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to achieving and maintaining KPIs
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of all charges to customers
  • Monitor order performance and suggest improvements to enhance margins on customer accounts

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience in an office-based environment
  • Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English or relevant degree (desirable)
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with a proactive approach to customer service
  • Meticulous attention to detail with high-quality standards, able to work under pressure and adapt to changes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships
