- Undertaking a newly created remit, as the business looks to transition from the sales and marketing function reporting directly to the Managing Director, to reporting into a functional head.
- Driving sales performance through coaching, training, shadowing and KPI management of the sales team.
- Data analysis of business performance, individual sales team performance, customer spend levels, product range sales etc.
- Analysing market opportunities and informing the commercial sales strategy of the business, both upline and downline.
- Key customer account management.
- Some external time in market supporting the sales team.
- Providing pipeline and sales performance reports upline to the Managing Director.
- Engaging with Group to support the Managing Director, as appropriate.
- Attending industry events and networking events as appropriate.
- Estimation of 25% external / 75% internal HQ based.
- A strong track record of providing inspirational leadership to sales teams within the manufacturing sector.
- Able to manage operationally, as well as driving and contributing to strategy.
- Comfortable with external travel.
- Strong high level customer management skills.
- Confident and charismatic at external business events.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
- Able to map out target markets and customers to inform business development / sales plans.
- Strong and engaging writing skills and able to use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint effectively.
