Position Details:

  • Role: General Cover Supervisor
  • Location: Various PRU, AP's secondary SEN schools across Stockton and the surrounding areas
  • Ofsted Rating: Many of the schools are rated 'Good'
  • Timings: 8:00 AM - 16.00 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP


Role Expectations:

A successful Cover Supervisor will:

  • Build a strong rapport with students quickly
  • Remain calm, confident, and engaging in unfamiliar settings
  • Teach a variety of subjects using pre-prepared resources
  • Maintain class discipline and keep students focused on their learning objectives
  • Good communicator
  • Experience of behaviour that challenges
  • Able to deescalate situations
  • Team teach trained would be an asset

Cover Supervisors are essential in maintaining the continuity of students' education during short-term teacher absences. This role is crucial across all types of schools and educational stages.
