Our clients are a leading provider of temporary services to the Construction Industry. They are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in the Northeast.
As a Contracts Manager, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Organising and management of temporary site services, electrical and mechanical projects within a construction environment.
- Ensuring works are completed in line with the health and safety policy.
- Procurement of labour, materials and plant to complete site-based activities.
- Value engineering of existing projects to maximise margins.
- Preparation of risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage all day-to-day operational aspects of the project.
- Regular internal reviews of projects with the Commercial team.
- Regular site visits / inspections.
- Building on existing relationships with client base to help secure additional works.
- Prepare and submit costs for additional works with the specification of the client and the technical expertise of the company.
- Able to mentor and develop the existing team of staff and operatives.
Essential Skills:
- Previous electrical experience
- Good understanding of the electrical test and inspection procedures.
- Ability to deliver a project on time and within budget.
- Take ownership of your projects and deal with any operational problems professional and efficiently.
- Good numerical skills
- Experience of large projects
- Good interpersonal skills
- Live within commuting distance to Eaglescliffe.
