The Opportunity:Nigel Wright Group is delighted to have been retained to support a rapidly expanding, privately owned Group, with their search for a Divisional Director to head up it property and facilities services division.  There are four business units in their infancy, that are being brought together to form this division (total headcount of circa 25 and revenue generation of circa £1m for the division).  The business units include facilities management, commercial cleaning, commercial security and commercial property renovation and commercialisation.  The division includes multi millions of pounds of commercial assets and with significant backing from Group, this is a fantastic and truly unique opportunity for the new appointment to be running a significant and profitable business.Role Profile:
  • Reporting directly to the Group Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Managing, coaching and developing the business managers of each business unit within the division.
  • Leading the recruitment strategy for growing the headcount across the different businesses.  This will include operational and commercial staff as each business grows.
  • Overseeing the renovation projects on the commercial and residential building portfolio and leading the subsequent commercialisation of these assets, with similar additional projects likely to follow.
  • Leading the process of securing all necessary quality and H & S accreditations to enable enhanced levels of work winning for the security, cleaning and facilities management business units.
  • Balancing the headcount growth of operational versus commercial staff, as each business unit continues to grow.
  • Full P & L accountability across all four businesses.
  • Embracing the Group ethos of high quality and exceptional service delivery.  The objective for these businesses is to have strong foundations and principles, followed by incremental year on year growth.
Person Specification:
  • Strong people management, commercial and operational experience.
  • Exposure to entrepreneurial owner managed businesses.
  • Exposure to an acquisition focused Group would be advantageous.
  • Ability to adjust between being hands on and strategic is critical.
  • Relevant sector backgrounds could be broader B2B industrial, property services, construction, hard / soft FM, security.
  • The skill set to operate within a group structure with a diverse mix of stakeholders.
  • Strong upline reporting skills with regard to sales performance / pipeline and operational project progress.
  • Good IT literacy (CRM usage, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc).
  • Commutable to Teesside Monday to Friday.
