Smart Manufacturing Solutions are currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician on behalf of one of our clients based in Stockton On Tees. You will be working as part of a small maintenance team responsible for the day to day maintenance of the plant and machinery onsite including preventative maintenance, attending breakdowns and service and repair work.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside external contractors during the completion of routine servicing and repairs.
- Fault diagnosis and instigate repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance duties on a range of equipment including overhead cranes, CNC machines and shot blasts
- Work alongside section team leaders to identify concerns and rectify machine problems.
- Assist with the safe decommissioning of old plant/equipment and the safe installation/commissioning of new.
- Maintain working areas in accordance with 5S
- Use appropriate safety equipment and techniques to adhere to company procedures.
- Mentor Department trainees / apprentices
Requirements
- Apprenticeship or Mechanically qualified - City and Guilds or equivalent level 3
- HNC ( Preferred but not essential)
- MEWP Licence ( Preferred but will be provided)
- Proactive attitude
- Previous experience working with Hydraulic systems
- Previous experience working with Pneumatic Systems
- Previous experience working with Overhead Cranes
Working Hours
Dayshift -Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:15, Friday 06:00 to12:45
Backshift-Monday to Thursday 14:15 to 22:30, Friday 12:45 to 19:30
