Overview:
We are looking for motivated and skilled Electrical Mates, Plumbing Mates, and HVAC (or Duct Fitter) Mates to join our team. The successful candidates will provide support to qualified tradespeople and ensure that installations, repairs, and maintenance projects are completed to a high standard. This role requires a willingness to work away from home (50/50) and adhere to strict health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support to Qualified Tradespeople:
- Assist Engineers with day-to-day tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and completion of projects.
- Provide hands-on support during installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Work Away from Home:
- Be prepared to work away from home approximately 50% of the time, ensuring flexibility and readiness for travel to various job sites.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Follow all relevant health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Hold and maintain appropriate certifications, including WAH, IPAF, PASMA, and CSCS, to work on site safely.
- Assist with System Installations & Maintenance:
- Help install electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, or HVAC systems under the supervision of Engineers.
- Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and servicing, following instructions to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of work completed, including any materials used and job-specific requirements.
- Report any issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Mate, Plumbing Mate, or HVAC Mate (or Duct Fitter Mate).
- Comfortable working away from home (50/50).
- WAH (Work at Height), IPAF, PASMA, and CSCS certifications required.
- Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems and installations.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Awareness of safety regulations and the ability to follow strict protocols.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience working on construction or industrial sites.
- Additional certifications related to electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work.
- Willingness to continue learning and pursuing relevant qualifications in the field.
