JDI Legal are currently working with an award winning law firm in Stockton who are looking to strengthen their finance team by recruiting a finance assistant to work full time or 4days would be considered.

This really is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who has extensive experience in finance, to join our dedcated Finance team, based at their modern open plan offices in Stockton-on-Tees.

This is a permanent role, which offers an excellent entry point into an ambitious and caring organisation and provides a superb opportunity for development and the acquisition of new skills. This role will be varied and will involve a wide range of accounting and administration tasks, with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the Finance function.

The key duties will include:

• Processing day to day client related transactions

• Posting client & office bank statements

• Raising WIP and disbursement bills

• Providing support to all legal departments

• Checking and processing completion packs

• Various client related reconciliations

• Audit and general control reviews

• Archiving and general administration duties

• Adhering to Solicitor Accounting Rules

Whilst it would be an advantage for you to have prior Legal Cashier experience, this is not essential, as training will be given. You will be joining a friendly team of colleagues, who are supportive and very approachable.
