Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Manageryou will:
- Create and adjust daily and weekly plans for plant and process sequencing to meet demand, targets, KPIs, and other key requirements.
- Oversee all operational activities-balancing hands-on and strategic management-while responding effectively to unexpected challenges to optimize commercial outcomes for Port Clarence Waste Recovery Park. Take direct ownership of escalated issues, driving them through to resolution.
- Manage all daily site communications, including work planning, progress reporting, toolbox talks, and resource availability updates.
- Play a key role in managing and developing site operations, acting as the authority on processes, production, and operational activities.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safety
- Strong numeracy/literacy
- Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.
Personal skills
The Operations Manager role would suit someone who has:
- Proven experience managing large teams in a process environment.
- Waste industry knowledge and qualifications preferred.
- Hands-on operational and supervisory experience.
- Target-driven with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
