Reed FE are seeking an experienced Electrical Training Instructor on behalf of a training provider to join their Training Centre team in Teesside. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in delivering City & Guilds electrical training courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the centre on a day-to-day basis and ensuring the delivery of high-quality training.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Managing the training centre on a daily basis.
  • Setting up and conducting Low Voltage City & Guilds and LCL training courses, including 18th edition, 2391, and PAT to a high professional standard.
  • Completing all course-related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Addressing delegates’ enquiries and providing solutions to any issues that arise.
  • Working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Providing additional support as required by the organisation.
  • Occasionally travelling to other Training Centres within the North East or on-site at customer premises.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in delivering City and Guilds electrical training courses.
  • PTTLS Certificate or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proficiency in a range of City & Guilds courses, including but not limited to 2382-22, 2346, 2919-01, 2392-10, 2391 series, 2377-77, and 2393-10.
  • Knowledge of Electricity At Work Regulations and LCL Domestic Electrical Installer.
  • A1 Assessor award is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to manage a training centre and conduct courses independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on one’s own initiative.
