This successful family run manufacturing and distribution business in the heart of Staffordshire supply their specialist products across the UK. The business is well known within its field of expertise and are seeking a motivated and passionate finance professional to lead, manage, and develop their Finance team.


As the Financial Controller you will be providing accurate, meaningful, and timely management reports to the Finance Director, and the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing all operations across the Finance department and acting as a true Finance Business Partner.


As you will be working for an SME within the manufacturing space this is a great opportunity to add value from an early stage.

What experience we need from you?

Preparation and review of monthly financial results ahead of submission.

Provide accurate and timely analysis of monthly management accounts.

Review and improve all finance department reporting, both internal and external to the department.

To hold overhead reviews with budget holders across the business to drive change throughout the business, with an emphasis on efficiency and cost saving.

To manage the companys cash position by maintaining cashflow forecasts and highlighting any potential future issues.

Manage and complete the Annual Budget process including review with the Senior Leadership Team and budget holders.

Manage the monthly forecasting process throughout the year, ensuring the submission of monthly forecasts to Finance Director.

To lead, manage and develop the Finance team, ensuring that workload is fairly and evenly distributed, that staff are supported.


What you will need to succeed?

Ideally have a proven track record in a manufacturing environment however other sectors will be considered.

CIMA/ACCA qualified.

Ideally you will have experience working at a similar level within a manufacturing business.

Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and mentoring a team.

Good knowledge of Excel and Efacs ERP system (or similar).
