Who we are looking for

A Fixed Asset Accountant, who will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining all aspects of the fixed asset process.Being an integral part of the financial accounts team, you will be at the forefront of the preparation of internal and external finance reporting for the Business.You will support in providing insight over our fixed assets through the preparation of analytical reports for internal management as well as external reports to auditors.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about process improvement and development.This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified.
  • Experience in the transacting and controling of all aspects of fixed assets.
  • Understanding of UK Accounting Standards.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
  • Knowledge of finance system management and internal control.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proactive and positive approach to tasks.
  • If successful, you will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from your first day of employment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Consolidating a Fixed Asset Register (FAR) on a period-by-period basis to help the year-end process and reconciliation.
  • Providing support to the budgeting and forecast function.
  • Building relationships with the wider Business on items of a capital nature.
  • Processing and monitoring additions and disposals accurately.
  • Mitigating risk, particularly around documentation for audit sampling.
  • Dealing with ad hoc requests proactively.
