Roles and Responsibilities

You will lead the design and analysis of complex structural systems for a variety of projects, ensuring that all designs are:

  • safe
  • efficient
  • in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs.

They work extensively with the NHS, Schools and large commercial clients and contractors and encourage their employees to gain experience varied sectors.

Skills and Competencies

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Technically proficient and able to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external design teams, as well as clients
  • Ability to produce structural designs and calculations for a variety of projects using multiple material.
  • A broad range of engineering skills, with a strong understanding of current codes of practice.
  • Experience working with all main construction materials.
  • Capable of managing your own workload and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with hand calculations, spreadsheets, and using the latest 3D modelling design software packages for concrete and steelwork. Ideally, familiar withAutoCAD, Revit, MasterSeries, Tekla Structural Designer, and TEDDS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clearand practical design sketches for structural technician.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
