Your new companyThe UK's largest manufacturer of steel door solutions, offering a wide range of products for use in the Industrial and Commercial sectors. Your new roleOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable and Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a 9 month fixed term maternity cover. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, supporting as required with the purchase ledger, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices. What you'll need to succeed

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all invoices and financial records are accurate and free from errors.
  • Organisational Skills: Managing multiple tasks and keeping everything in order.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively interacting with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Quickly identifying and addressing discrepancies or issues in the accounts.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Familiarity with accounting software Pegasus Opera, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Time Management: Prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines, especially during busy periods like month-end closing.
  • Team Player: Collaborating well with colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Adaptability: Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
  • Experience or Qualifications: Having relevant experience in accounts payable or holding an AAT qualification or being qualified by experience.
  • Integrity: Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all financial dealings.
