Key Responsibilities:

As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of fabric works across multiple sites. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planned Maintenance: Carry out planned maintenance on fabric assets such as windows, fire doors, ironmongery, passive fire protection, roofing, and gutters.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Undertake minor repair works, including door/window furniture, carpentry, flooring, roofing, painting & decorating, and more.
  • Minor Works: Complete minor installations and repairs in line with trade qualifications.
  • Health & Safety: Always work in a safe, conscientious manner, conducting risk assessments and adhering to Safe Systems of Working (SSOW).
  • Reporting & Updates: Provide regular updates on work orders to the helpdesk, ensuring accurate documentation is completed for all works.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the in-house Stoke Schools engineering team to deliver high-quality maintenance services.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: A formal apprenticeship in a relevant City & Guilds Trade Craft.
  • Experience: Previous experience in building fabric repairs and maintenance.
  • Health & Safety: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
  • Licensing: A full, clean driving license is essential; IPAF (MEWP) qualification is desirable.
  • DBS Check: Enhanced DBS clearance is required to work on-site (dependent on passing clearance).
  • Skills: Highly motivated, customer-focused, and collaborative with a strong attention to detail and quality.
